摘要: Background Ixodes scapularis is the most common tick species in North America and a vector of important pathogens that cause diseases humans animals including Lyme disease, anaplasmosis babesiosis. Tick defensins have been identified as new source antimicrobial agents with putative medical applications due to their wide-ranging activities. Two multigene families were previously reported I. scapularis. The objective present study was characterise potential activity two from emphasis on human pathogenic bacterial strains phytopathogenic fungi.
