摘要: Abstract This essay invites social studies educators to consider critical theoretical insights related affect, emotions, and feelings from what has been termed “the affective turn” in sciences humanities scholarship. Developments theorizing affect recent research education are elements of studies. Two specific affects—pride shame—are considered within contexts teaching civics history. The dimensions require reflection analysis understand the complex nature education.
