摘要: OBJECTIVE: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the rates and sites tumour recurrence in patients with oral oropharyngeal carcinomas. DESIGN: This a retrospective series cases treated single institution. PATIENTS AND METHODS: A 2067 squamous carcinoma, from 1954 1998 were analysed. treatment approach was: surgery, 624 (30.2%); radiotherapy alone, 729 (35.3%); 552 (26.7%) chemotherapy, 162 (7.8%). MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Tumour was observed 1079 (52.2%): 561 local recurrences (27.1%); 168 neck (8.1%); 252 locoregional (12.2%); 59, distant metastasis (2.9%) 39 (1.9%), combination local, or recurrence. RESULTS: varied significantly according performed. Oral cavity cancer undergoing alone chemotherapy presented highest (22.5 40.0%, respectively) for clinical stage (CS) I/II (41.2 30.1%) (21.7 31.1%) CS III/IV; yet, III/IV, surgery without dissection associated (20.7%), but no differences patients. For oropharynx there difference rate failures treatment. However, III/IV present (42.3%) (28.8%) failures. CONCLUSION: The results suggest that should be first option initial cancers. advanced independently site tumour, postoperative standard care because it lowest recurrence.
