摘要: Details of skin cargoes fur seal Arctocephalus spp. and sea lion Neophoca cinerea Phocarctos hookeri, originating from southern Australia, New Zealand the adjacent subantarctic islands in lath, 19th 20th centuries have been collated several secondary historicsl sources. These sources quoted quantities skins terms actual tallied numbers, as untallied "cargoes" or casks, sacks bundles. Untallied were converted into numbers by averaging cargoes; bundles arbitrarily deemed to contain 40, 20 5 respectively.Annual total yields are presented for ten separate areas region: Bass Strait, King Island, Kangaroo Island. Western Zealand, Bounty Islands, Auckland Antipodes Islands. Campbell Island Macquarie island. At least 1 367 000 harvested between 1792 1948149 whole Australasian region.
