摘要: We have isolated a homologue to the Drosophilacaudal (cad) gene from flour beetle Tribolium castaneum and studied its expression pattern. The caudal (Tc-cad) arrangement is unusual in that there partial duplication of resulting alternative transcripts with identical 5′-exons, but different 3′-exons encoding two homeoboxes. Expression analysis was done by whole-mount situ hybridization staining an antibody raised against N-terminal part protein common both transcripts. At early stages we observe homogeneously distributed maternal mRNA which initially also translated throughout embryo. A little later, posterior anterior CAD gradient formed, very similar Drosophila. However, because differences fate map between Drosophila Tribolium, at blastoderm stage covers prospective head thoracic region not abdomen as Tc-cad only seen during further germband growth where it becomes restricted zone segments are formed. This somitogenic for cad homologues vertebrates. After completion segmentation process confined terminal stripe resembles late
