摘要: Viewing angle characteristics of a liquid crystal display (LCD) are improved by reducing the number subpixels in an image with mid-tone luminance values. In preferred embodiment, first table entries associating subpixel intensity values and for LCD at least one viewing direction is provided. A target value determined from table, corresponding to average over small adjacent subpixels. second associates above below target. The modified according thereby data preferably processed within portion application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC), contained module.
