摘要: The transformation of natural ecosystems due to anthropogenic land use is considered one the main causes biodiversity loss. Lichens, their poikilohydric nature, are very sensitive and disturbances. Therefore, lichen communities have been widely used as bioindicators climatic environmental changes. In this study, we evaluated how species richness community composition epiphytic lichens respond land-use intensity in riparian Andes southern Ecuador. Additionally, evaluate six functional traits (photobiont type, growth form, reproductive strategy) changed across different intensity. We selected 10 trees twelve sites for a total de 120 trees, equally divided into four intensities (forest, forest-pasture, pasture urban). recorded 140 species. Species was highest forest decreased towards more uses. Lichen responded intensity, explained by microclimate variables (e.g., precipitation, percentage forested area) distance forest. Richness also differed significantly among from forests urban land-use. Taxonomic diversity can be effectively applied assess monitor effects changes tropical montane regions.
