摘要: Abstract We developed a new approach for evaluating gillnet catches. A model of catch was built to differentiate the effects saturation, fish activity and escapement from catch. The corrected catch, termed catchable biomass rate in text, is weight that can be caught within an hour by empty during period unitary activity. also observed soak time (2, 5, 8, 11 13 h) sampling (August vs. September) on Our results show saturation gillnets are important events occurring each use, thus violating assumption linear relationship between density. maximal capacity standardized benthic (45 m 2 area, 12 mesh sizes range 5 55 mm) assessed 11 kg, i.e., 245 kg 1000 m −2 gillnet.
