摘要: The purpose of this study was to elucidate the effects wearing a denture on prefrontal activity during chewing performance. We specifically examined that in 12 elderly edentulous subjects [63.1±6.1 years old (mean ± SD)] and young healthy controls (22.1±2.3 old) using functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) order evaluate quality functionality performance under conditions tooth loss, then compared findings with those controls. fNIRS electromyography were used simultaneously detect masticatory muscle activities chewing, while occlusal force score also by use food intake questionnaire. A significant increase observed denture, which accompanied increased activity, force, score, as loss condition. Prefrontal activation not much different from In contrast, group resulted marked deactivation, decreased concluded intrinsic may prevent depression induced patients.
