摘要: Female mice are more susceptible to radiation-induced cognitive changes than male mice. Previously, we showed that, in female mice, androgens antagonize age-related decline aged wild-type and selective androgen receptor modulators (SARMs) induced by human apolipoprotein E4, a risk factor for developing decline. In this study, the potential effects of SARM ACP-105 were assessed that either sham-irradiated or irradiated with ¹³⁷Cesium at dose 10Gy. Behavioral testing started 2 weeks following irradiation. Irradiation impaired sensorimotor function vehicle-treated but not ACP-105-treated cued fear conditioning enhanced When immunoreactivity microtubule-associated protein was cortex there brain area × interaction. While reduced MAP-2 cortex, trend towards increased enthorhinal cortex. No effect on seen hippocampus. Thus, relatively early behavioral levels treatment might contribute rotorod performance.
