摘要: Abstract In this work the feasibility of using woody agricultural biomass wastes as grapes and cherries seeds, sawdust, pore forming agent, sugar cane ash, silica precursor, in bricks, were reported. Sawdust thanks to their organic substances content, during combustion, bring an energetic support bricks firing phase act agent. Usually addition kind waste is limited 10 wt.% order reach equilibrium between positive (weight shrinkage decrease porosity increase) negative (increase water absorption mechanical resistance decrease) effects. The results show that added a percentage 5 wt.% brick formulation, have better influence with respect maintaining properties fired (950 °C), showing modulus rupture around 21–23 MPa weight reduction 3–10% (respect standard one). Regarding improves (modulus 27 MPa) no observed. These confirmed role played by waste, which its high content (61 wt.%) capable demonstrate filler plasticity reducing effect on bodies. Tests carried out highlighted these by-products (5 wt.%) do not change negatively main technological measured (water absorption, linear shrinkage, flexural resistance, etc.) permit hypothesize use obtain both insulating higher agent or carrier alternative raw materials, respectively.
