摘要: Certain types of human papillomaviruses have been etiologically associated with malignant lesions, most notably cervical cancer. The major oncoproteins these cancer-associated viruses are encoded by the viral E6 and E7 genes. Thorough characterization their interaction cellular proteins has shown that both exploit ubiquitin–proteasome system to degrade and, thus, functionally inactivate negative cell-regulatory including members p110RB family p53. This act piracy is assumed contribute efficient propagation HPVs HPV-induced carcinogenesis.
