摘要: Violence disproportionately affects low- and middle-income countries. Deeper understanding is needed in areas where little research has occurred. The objectives of the study were to: (a) ascertain rate homicide death; (b) describe victims circumstances surrounding their deaths Dar es Salaam, Tanzania 2005. This was developed by adapting WHO/CDC Injury Surveillance Guidelines (Holder et al., 2001). Data on 12 variables collected all deaths. Descriptive statistics hypothesis tests done when appropriate. Age standardised, age-specific cause-specific mortality rates are presented. overall 12.57 (males females respectively: 22.26 2.64). Homicide 93.4% male, mostly unemployed, with a mean age 28.2 years. Most occurred urban areas. Mob violence cause 57% risk death for males greater than world average, but it less. homicides committed community members policing against thieves.
