摘要: Fluids on the nanoscale behave qualitatively different from macroscopic systems. This becomes particularly evident if a free liquid–liquid or liquid–gas interface is close to solid surface such as in case of nanodroplets. In contrast drops, hydrodynamic slip, thermal fluctuations, molecular structure liquid, and range intermolecular interactions are important for dynamics open nanofluidic After review modeling behavior nonvolatile droplets structured substrates, we discuss static dynamic peculiarities with special emphasis theory. particular show that nanodroplets experience long-ranged lateral sharp features their energy might be lower less wettable part substrate surface. A discussion possible experiments observing these phenomena followed by summary an outlook.
