摘要: Fiber drawing nanomanufacturing (FDN) is a new high-yield method to make three-dimensional (3D) ordered micro- and nanostructured materials. The main equipment used in the FDN process fiber draw tower, which similar those industry optical fibers for telecommunications. In FDN, glassy materials such as silicate glasses polymers either rod form or tube with appropriate filling can be drawn into fibrous building blocks (FBBs), assembled 3D structures bundles of next drawing. By repeating same several times, diameters FBBs reduced from centimeters stepwise down sub-micrometers, while preserving FBBs. Depending on properties materials, choice semiconductor glasses, metallic wires, organic This chapter briefly summarizes aspects technique including material selection, process, size control, assembly also discusses various examples FDN.
