摘要: Intraluminal brachytherapy using a balloon applicator has been the treatment of choice for superficial esophageal carcinomas. During treatment, is made to expand be cylindrical as determined from an AP radiograph. However, optimal expansion not usually confirmed by computed tomography (CT). Therefore, this study was conducted assess shape CT. Ten patients with carcinoma were treated intraluminal applicator. The applicators expanded properly in all viewed In seven 10 patients, observed on remaining three found distorted presumably only primary tumor and mediastinal lymph nodes but also neighboring organs. These results indicate that, when treating applicator, there may risks distortion some cases. Assessment CT should done precisely confirm
