摘要: Cultural heritage (CH) sites are threatened from a variety of natural and anthropogenic factors. Innovative cost effective tools for systematic monitoring landscapes CH needed to protect them. Towards this direction, the article presents multidisciplinary approach, based on remote sensing techniques Geographical Information System (GIS) analysis, in order assess overall risk Paphos district (Cyprus). region has great deal archaeological isolated monuments, which reflect long history area, while some them also listed UNESCO catalogue World Heritage sites. Several hazards have been mapped using different data methodologies. All were gathered satellite images products. The results each hazard imported into GIS environment examine assessment Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) methodology. found that methodology applied was enough understanding current conservation circumstances monuments relation their as well predicting future development present hazards.
