Financial unhealthiness predicts worse health outcomes: evidence from a sample of working Canadians

摘要: Abstract Objective This paper investigates how financial health associates with self-rated health, for a sample of working Canadians. Financial is defined as an indicator the proportionality household consumption to its income. Study design The study draws on Canadian General Social Survey 2011, cross-sectional data set. Methods Multivariate regression analysis employed. Results results show that unhealthiness statistically significant and strong predictor worse physical mental outcomes, controlling wide array characteristics, including income job security implied by occupational category. Conclusion Policy implications are explored.
