摘要: Small cell carcinoma (SCC) of the pancreas is a rare malignancy with an extremely poor prognosis. We present case 74-year-old man 2-month history upper abdominal discomfort who was diagnosed SCC tail, involvement peripancreatic and mesenteric lymph nodes multiple liver metastases (extended disease). A CT scan positive somatostatin receptor scintigraphy showed no evidence primary lung tumour. The diagnosis confirmed by biopsy. Local tumour control could be achieved gemcitabine once week long-acting analogue month, but metastasis progress. Thus, 5-fluorouracil on weekly basis started. patient died 8 months after had not been hospitalised in meantime.
