S2Sim: Smart Grid Swarm Simulator

摘要: The Smart Grid is drawing attention from various research areas. Distributed control algorithms at different scales within the grid are being developed and deployed; yet their effects on each other grid's health stability has not been sufficiently studied due to lack of a capable simulator. Simulators in literature can solve power flow by modeling physical system, but fail address cyber aspect smart with multiple agents. To answer these questions, we have S2Sim: Swarm Simulator. S2Sim allows any object its own independent control, transforming elements into cyber-physical representations. Objects size ranging light bulb whole microgrid representative data be supplied real device, simulation, distributed algorithm or database. shields complexity solution directly supplies information system stability. This used give feedback signals like price regulation incentives virtual coordinators form closed-loop control. Using three case studies, illustrate how varying stability, which would go undetected absence our Furthermore, studies show that can't justified without tested grid.
