摘要: We study the impact of horizontal resolution in setting North Atlantic gyre circulation and representing ocean–atmosphere interactions that modulate low-frequency variability region. Simulations from five state-of-the-art climate models performed at standard high-resolution as part High-Resolution Model Inter-comparison Project (HighResMIP) were analysed. In some models, is enhanced atmospheric oceanic components whereas, other increased only atmosphere. Enhancing non-eddy to eddy-permitting ocean produces stronger barotropic mass transports inside subpolar subtropical gyres. The first mode inter-annual associated with Oscillation (NAO) all cases. rapid response it consists a shift position inter-gyre zone better captured by models. delayed an intensification (SPG) after around 3 years positive phase NAO represented oceans. A lagged relationship between intensity SPG Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC) cases ocean. Then, more tightly coupled AMOC low-resolution
