摘要: Antibiotic resistance poses a growing threat to global public health. It is urgent develop new alternative antibiotics. Antimicrobial peptide (AMP) diverse class of natural-occurring molecules that constitute immune systems living organisms. More than 2500 AMPs have been identified and isolated from natural sources. Compared conventional antibiotics, exhibit antimicrobial activities against broad spectrum microorganisms including bacteria, fungi, even viruses. importantly, the unique mechanisms make it difficult for resistance. Therefore, very promising as high-value candidates. This mini review provides an update recent progresses in recombinant production after fusion AMP with carrier proteins their scale-up. Key factors selection expression host tags are firstly introduced, followed by subsequent discussions on purification recovery peptides. The scale also explored.
