摘要: Mouse hepatitis virus (MHV), a murine coronavirus, has been shown to utilize carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) as the receptor. We have demonstrated that MHV can different isoform of CEA, which is an alternatively spliced gene product expressed in tissues, Furthermore, CEA molecules from resistant mouse strain (SJL) sequences and yet serve functional viral receptors. Thus, use more than single type molecule also some cell lines express are infections by certain strains. Biochemical studies infected cells indicate these blocked at steps entry. conclude entry requires additional cellular factors other The significance receptors regulating tropism discussed.
