System response in passively phased fiber amplifier arrays

摘要: System temporal response in passively phased fiber amplifier arrays dictates how fast a system can correct for phase fluctuations due to thermal and mechanical effects. The time was measured by employing variable-speed chopper the feedback loop of then measuring on-axis output intensity as function time. Observed relaxation oscillations are compared theory. be about 20 μsec. We also find that passive phasing improved system's beam stability extraction efficiency.
