摘要: Two experiments using 96 steers each were conducted to evaluate the impact of feeding Micro-Aid in diets containing wet distillers grains plus solubles (WDGS) on cattle performance and nutrient mass balance open feedlot pens. (DPI Global, Porterville, CA) is a feed ingredient from an all natural plant extract, which contains saponins that have detergent surfactant properties. Ninety-six Calves (301 ±11 kg BW) fed for 180 days November May (winter) yearlings (n=96, 321 ± 9 160 (summer). Dietary treatments consisted basal diet contained 35% WDGS, 55% corn included at ratio 1:1 dry-rolled high-moisture corn, 5% wheat straw, supplement (CON), inclusion 1.0 g per steer daily (TRT). There was no difference (P ≥ 0.09) carcass characteristics between treatments. Nitrogen intake, retention, excretion not different 0.66) among either experiment. During winter experiment, amount OM N removed manure greater TRT compared with CON ≤ 0.05). In lost via volatilization reduced = 0.05) but 0.69) during summer. Phosphorus
