摘要: This study examined the effects of duty-related stress on police officers. Using a sample 100 suburban officers, an anonymous questionnaire requested demographic information and included measure stressors, SCL-90-R, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder scale Impact Events Scale-Revised, locus control scale. Also assessed was whether Critical Incident Debriefing experienced. The results showed significant correlations between scores stress, somatization, symptoms PTSD. 13% met DSM-IV (1994) diagnostic criteria for Results regression analysis best predictors diagnosis PTSD were associated with factor Exposure to Death Life Threat, which corresponds AI criteria. Finally, 63% respondents stated that critical incident debriefing would be beneficial following extremely stressful event related duty.
