摘要: In this work, we explain the removal of harmful volatile organic compounds (VOCs) by adsorbing them on activated carbon fibres (ACFs). For purpose, prepared a significant number ACFs with different surface chemistries and porosity developments, analyzed effect these two variables VOC adsorption. Our results showed that at low concentrations (around 1000 ppmv), pore size distribution (PSD) is main parameter controls VOC. Therefore, narrow PSD mean between 0.8 1.0 nm most appropriate to achieve high adsorption capacities concentrations. However, lower (P/P0 < 10-2), capacity depends adsorbent properties (not only but also chemistry) polarity reason, selection activating agent (CO2 or H2O) has an important influence process depending compound be adsorbed.
