摘要: Community characteristics of small mammals in five woodland-savannah habitats (riverine grassland, miombo, mopane, talus, thicket) were studied at Sengwa Wildlife Research Area Zimbabwe between July 1992 and 1993. The study was initiated following a drought year extended over average rainfall. Fourteen species recorded during mark-and-recapture trapping, with the number known to occur single community ranging from three nine. Species complements biomass (g/ha) lowest first portion peaked 1993 cool dry season. diversity (H') hot season highest Temporal variation least talus greatest riverine grassland. Communities thicket most similar those grassland similar. In general, these results suggest that communities are highly variable appear be resource-limited.
