摘要: Conjunctivochalasis, defined as a redundant conjunctiva typically located between the globe and lower eyelid, is not uncommon. However, it often overlooked, may be considered normal senile change. Conjunctivochalasis can cause spectrum of symptoms, ranging from aggravation dry eye at mild stage, to disturbance tear outflow moderate exposure problems severe stage. Clinical recognition its pathogenic role helps differentiate conjunctivochalasis other diseases that generate similar symptoms. For symptomatic patients, topical lubricants tried, but they are frequently unsuccessful, surgical excision required. To guide future investigation into clinical significance conjunctivochalasis, comprehensive grading system hypothetical pathophysiology proposed. Special attention given relationship dynamics.
