摘要: One of the major challenges facing rural schools is recruitment experienced teachers. Currently, many and remote are staffed by newly appointed or beginning teachers who remain in these places for minimum period appointment, often 2 3 years. Drawing upon recent sea-change phenomenon, where city residents move to coastal locations based on a change lifestyle (e.g., approaching retirement escaping ‘rat-race’), this chapter will explore new emerging group changers known as tree-changers. A tree-changer person voluntarily relocates from environment inland place. In particular, examines New South Wales tree-changers, identifies that tree-change choose relocate place with little researching about services facilities within their chosen For teachers, they went through an adjustment process which used community integration strategies, including joining number sporting/recreational groups, interest/service clubs community/church organisations assisted inclusion. Finally, some lived experiences recounted. The concludes discussion concept lens its application systemic staffing practices policy recommendations capitalise potential associated actively recruiting schools.
