Foods consumed by sympatric populations ofGorilla g. gorilla andPan t. troglodytes in Gabon: Some preliminary data

摘要: Data on foods consumed by gorillas and chimpanzees living in primary forest Gabon were collected, mainly examination of the contents feces. Gorillas ate fruit very regularly (some remains present 97.6% 246 fecal samples examined), addition to leaves, stems, pith, bark. Some all chimpanzee examined. Mean numbers species per sample 2.5 for 2.1 chimpanzees. Sixty percent identified recorded as well.
