摘要: Male satin bowerbirds often destroy the bowers of other males. Bowers are a key element in male sexual display and their destruction represents unique pattern competition. For two mating seasons displaying males were continously monitored to produce complete record bower destructions. The number destructions at amount invesely correlated with quality. best predictor destroying behaviour is aggressiveness feeding sites. Males directed most adjacent These results show that interactions important determining differences quality among bower-birds, consistent view females use as indicators mate choice.
