Interfacial Tensions of Liquid Iron-alloys and Commercial Steels in Contact with Liquid Slags

摘要: Measurement of interfacial tensions under industrially significant conditions are diffcult due to the reactivity industrial slags with refractory containers and non-equilibrium between liquid steel slag. These two problems necessitated development a new experimental technique allow steady state values tension be measured. This has shown that actual in real systems can variable time either higher or lower than predicted from equilibrium studies.
