Social norms and compliance with road traffic rules in urban areas : initial impressions of drivers in Kampala, Uganda

摘要: Since 1998, the government of Uganda has formulated traffic rules for road drivers, set penalties violation these and deployed personnel to enforce compliance. However, there is continued non-compliance with rules, particularly among drivers personal vehicles on Kampala roads. It likely that actions are influenced by individual or social perceptions pressures (social norms). These norms include injunctive (influences from people respect), descriptive other drivers’ behaviour) perceived behaviour control (drivers exploiting available opportunities). The study explores existence analyses way affect compliance when moderated obstructions systems in Kampala, Uganda.
