摘要: Abstract Electron beam induced effects on the sensing performance of spray-coated ZnO thin films for carbon monoxide (CO) detection are reported. The optical transmittance pristine film was around 80% and decreased upon e-beam treatment. XRD studies confirmed hexagonal wurtzite structure ZnO. Carbon measurements performed at 300 °C revealed that irradiated exhibited enhanced response recovery time compared to film. 5 kGy displayed improved with respect towards CO concentrations tested. It showed a quick 43 s 77 s lowest detected gas limit 2 ppm. 10 kGy 5 s sensor an excellent 1.39 2.63 2 ppm 5 ppm respectively. observed enhancement in both times as well is ascribed oxygen vacancies present which evident from photoluminescence also due large number grain boundaries.
