Aumento da prematuridade no Brasil: revisão de estudos de base populacional

摘要: OBJECTIVE: The greatest cause of infant mortality in Brazil is perinatal conditions, mostly associated with preterm delivery. objective the study was to evaluate evolution delivery rates Brazil. METHODS: A review conducted using Medline and Lilacs databases, including published studies periodicals, thesis dissertations since 1950. Exclusion criteria were: related clinical trials those complications at gestation care. Inclusion population-based on prevalence Brazil, representative sample studied population, primary data. Out 71 found, analysis carried out 12. RESULTS: found ranged from 3.4% 15.0% Southern Southeastern regions between 1978 2004, a rising trend 1990s onwards. Studies Northeastern region 1984 1998 prevalences ranging 3.8% 10.2%, also trend. CONCLUSIONS: Data national live birth information system do not corroborate these trends. Rather, they show differences given by this measured included review. Because important role relation it identify increases plan interventions that can diminish their occurrence.
