Depression and suicide in patients with cancer

摘要: Depression is a prevalent psychiatric syndrome in the cancer population. We review spectrum of conditions which depressive features are present, from normal responses to crises depression secondary organic causes. The different modalities treatment, including pharmacologic, psychotherapeutic and social interventions, described. Specific guidelines for management suicidal patient given physician-assisted death discussed.
