摘要: New VLA maps at 2 cm of the 13-arcsec-scale linear radio source in center NGC 1068 are described. The northeast lobe shows a limb-brightened conical morphology, very sharp leading edges, and magnetic field running parallel to these edges. spectral index between 6 line-brightened regions is near 1.0. subpeak has steep spectrum 18 which attributed inverse Compton losses relativistic electrons on infrared photons. indices southwest lie range 0.9-1.5 except its northern parts, where much larger found. emission could arise either cocoon old jet material passed through internal shock ejecta blown out side, or interstellar compressed by bow wave driven into galactic ISM. 45 references.
