摘要: The prevalence of acute diverticulitis (AD) has progressively increased in recent decades, with correspondingly greater morbidity and mortality. aim the study is to develop a predictive score identify patients highest risk complicated AD. clinical records 1089 referred emergency department (ED) over five-year period were reviewed. In multivariate analysis, male sex (p 80 mg/L < 0.001), severe obesity = 0.049), no proton pump inhibitor treatment 0.003) independently associated assessment (PACO)-diverticulitis (D) score, including these six variables, was applied retrospective cohort then validated prospectively 282 patients. It categorized into three classes for PACO-D showed fair discrimination AD an area under receiver operating characteristic curve 0.674 0.648, prospective cohorts, respectively. could be practical tool at ED so that appropriate diagnostic therapeutic resources appropriately allocated. Further external validation needed confirm results.
