摘要: This paper examines the influence of transverse reinforcement and axial load on drift limit rectangular columns using test results from 184 specimens subjected to cyclic loading. Columns within set were selected have shear span-to-depth ratios at least equal 2.5 so that truss action would be main mechanism resistance deformation component related small compared with flexure. Expressions relating limiting ratio amount confining evaluated. Equations indicating required achieve a given for reinforced concrete in regions moderate high seismicity are proposed.
