摘要: There is little available information about the effect of elevated CO2 on growth and mineral nutrients fodder crops. To investigate changes in vegetative biomass nutrient concentration berseem (Trifolium alexandrium L.), an important forage legume, was grown ambient (360 μl l−1) as well (600 conditions from germination onwards open top chambers. Elevated increased leaf size, plant height fresh dry mass shoots. more partitioning photosynthates towards new branches than leaves. Leaf nitrogen, soluble proteins, calcium, iron nitrate reductase (NR) activity decreased while carbon phosphorus contents increased. The results suggest that throughout crop season can produce less time. study concludes may increase production by 30–35% but will adversely affect nutritional quality due to reduction protein, calcium leaves a unit weight basis. On area basis, however, there be total content, including CO2.
