摘要: In Sub-Saharan Africa, the majority of businesses operate in form a small and medium-sized enterprise (SME). SMEs play significant role economic development many nations. This chapter considers business environment entrepreneurship activities countries Nigeria, Kenya, Senegal, South Sudan Tanzania. The review literature explores issues such as doing size informality, start-up survival closure, determinants growth gender African entrepreneurship. Using data from World Bank Enterprise Surveys, it reflects on factors affecting investment productivity Africa follows: education labour force, access to infrastructure, finance, firms other climate variables. Finally, using aforementioned survey, this draws pertinent conclusions region focus.
