摘要: This study experimentally investigates the torque control durability of a disc brake featuring magneto-rheological (MR) fluid. An appropriate size MR is designed based on mathematical model, and prototype manufactured. A small-scale laboratory-scale test bed then developed using DC motor, in-line sensor, brake. S45C S20C steels are inserted into tapered hole surface disc. After 105 cycles operation in shear mode, wear properties characterized by average roughness measurements, scanning electron microscope images, energy dispersive x-ray spectra. The performances before after examined open-loop closed-loop proportional-integral-derivative control. As expected, performance degraded case, but not case. aspect demonstrated sinusoidal torque-tacking cycles.
