摘要: Objective – In this paper, the current neuroimaging literature is reviewed with regard to characteristic findings in mild cognitive impairment (MCI). Particular attention drawn possible value of modalities prediction and early diagnosis Alzheimer's disease (AD). Methods  First, potential contribution an early, preclinical degenerative disorders discussed at background our knowledge about pathogenesis AD. Second, relevant studies focusing on MCI are explored summarized. Neuroimaging were found through Medline search by systematically checking bibliographies articles. Results  Structural volumetric magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) positron emission tomography (PET)/single photon (SPECT) currently most commonly used MCI. There considerable variations demographical clinical characteristics across studies. However, significant hippocampal entorhinal cortex volume reductions consistently subjects as compared cognitively unimpaired controls. While atrophy also well-established risk factors for development AD, these measures cannot be regarded being high predictive individual case. Evidence other typical changes still scarce. PET SPECT studies, reduced blood flow and/or glucose metabolism temporoparietal association areas, posterior cingulate hippocampus associated a higher progressive decline quantitative electroencephalogram (QEEG), low beta, theta, alpha slowed mean frequency dementia. Conclusions  Existing suggest that have become valuable tools To establish their routine use, larger preferably long prospective follow-up needed.
