摘要: Calcium and calcium-binding proteins including those resembling calmodulin are implicated in numerous diverse processes bacteria. These include chemotaxis, sporulation, virulence, the transport of sugars proteins, phosphorylation, heat shock, initiation DNA replication, septation, nucleoid structure, nuclease activity recombination, stability envelope, phospholipid synthesis configuration. That such varied should have a common factor, calcium, suggests major underlying principles calcium metabolism which yet to be discovered.
