摘要: Methadone and buprenorphine are the two main opioid substitution treatments for heroin dependence currently offered in Australia. A number of publications have implicated as being potentially dangerous combination with benzodiazepines but no comparison has been made to relative dangers combined or methadone. The effect i.v. methadone on respiration was investigated by evaluating arterial blood pCO2, pO2 pH, measuring respiratory rate rats. Measurements were taken at 0, 15, 30, 60, 120, 180 240 min after administration buprenorphine. Effects greatest 15 drug administration. compared without diazepam pretreatment (20 mg/kg). Buprenorphine alone exhibited a bell shaped dose response inhibition respiration; however plateau lost when administered diazepam. showed dose-dependent inhibitory respiration, which potentiated pretreatment. While abolishment protective not greater than
