Experimental Study on the Mechanical Properties of Biomass Briquettes from Different Agricultural Residues Combination

摘要: Biomass has received tremendous attention as it is one of the best alternatives to replace use fossil fuels for energy generation. However, there are problems associated with utilization raw biomass which could be resolved through densification process. Besides, mixing between residues produce a quality briquette, at same time making good on residues. Rice husk, sugarcane bagasse and spent coffee ground were selected feedstocks briquettes formation. The ratios 100:0, 80:20, 60:40, 20:80, 40:60 0:100 used three different combinations. then compacted 300 bars 150°C 30 s. mechanical properties measured respects their shatter resistance, abrasive resistance well water resistance. effectively improved by compared pure materials. result showed that formed 40: 60 RH SB; 20: 80 SCG SB among optimum ratio respective combination fulfilling specifications strength durability.
