摘要: With the continual growth of users on Web from a wide range countries, supporting such in their search cultural heritage collections will grow importance. In the next few years, areas Internet users come from Indian sub-continent and China. Consequently, if holders cultural heritage collections wish content to be viewable by full coming to the Internet, languages that they need support have grow. This paper will present recent work conducted at the University Sheffield (and now being implemented BRICKS) how use automatic translation provide and organisation facilities for historical image search engine. The system allows to search images seven different languages, providing means user examine translated image captions and browse retrieved images organised categories written their native language.
