摘要: ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporter proteins mediate energy-dependent transport of substrates across cell membranes. Numerous ABC transporter-related genes have been found in the Synechocystis sp. PCC6803 genome by sequence analysis including H(+), iron, phosphate, polysaccharide, and CO(2) transport-related genes. The many other transporters are still unknown. To identify involved acid tolerance, deletion mutants with unknown were screened for stress sensitivities low pH medium. It was that cells expressing mutant slr1045 more sensitive to than wild-type cells. Moreover, expression increased under stress. These results indicate is an essential gene survival displayed high osmotic resistance high/low temperature sensitivity. Considering temperature-sensitive phenotype homology organic solvent-resistant system, we subsequently compared lipid profiles thin-layer chromatography. In conditions, phosphatidylglycerol (PG) content approximately 40% addition PG medium compensated growth deficiency conditions. data suggest plays a role stabilization membranes challenging environmental This article part Special Issue entitled: Photosynthesis Research Sustainability: from Natural Artificial.
