摘要: To investigate the familial aggregation of colorectal cancer in Denmark, parents and siblings patients diagnosed below age 60 years 1982–1984 were identified through population registries. For 1,470 probands with families eligible for tracing, 1,376 mothers, 1,303 fathers 3,259 identified. They contributed 222,634 person-years, 325 cases observed during follow-up period 1943–1992. All data retrieved from registries consequently free any reporting bias. The overall standardized morbidity ratio (SMR) compared Danish was 2.02 (95% confidence interval [Cl] 1.81–2.25), significantly different between (1.78, 95% Cl 1.55–2.04) (2.65, 2.21–3.17). A strong dependence on proband's at diagnosis seen sibling risk; less than 50 old had a 5-fold risk general population. This not parents, but tended to be higher younger ages. No other factor influence relative risk. observation an 80% increased among 170% indicates that genetic component is one source, probably only one, cancer. cost benefit screening substantially total © 1996 Wiley-Liss, Inc.
